Our Mission

The Caron-Wood Charity Golf Classic will raise funds to support the mission of the Caron-Wood Foundation and The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, founded by Paul Newman. The Classic will unite the Cape Cod Golf Community and local celebrities to achieve these goals.

The Caron-Wood Cape Cod Pros Foundation Fund, a component fund of the Cape Cod Foundation, a 501 ( c ) (3) non-profit foundation, assists junior golfers from Cape Cod and the Islands in pursuing a career in the profession of golf through scholarships, other financial assistance and mentorship. The Foundation also donates funds to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

In 2008, The Caron-Wood Foundation was established by Jason Caron and Carri Wood to support junior golf on Cape Cod and the Islands. Caron is a former member of the PGA Tour now playing on the Nationwide Tour. Wood is a long time member of the LPGA Tour. Both are graduates of the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, in collaboration with its associated camps in the United States and abroad, provides children with cancer and other serious illnesses and conditions a camping experience of the highest quality, while extending year-round support to their families and health care providers.

In the beginning, there was a dream, the vision of Paul Newman, a camp where children with serious illnesses could retrieve some of their lost childhood and “raise a little hell.” The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is a place where our children find a refuge from the outside world and the care and worry of serious illness.
