Official Events Sponsors Named

Things are moving quickly and the end of June is right around the corner.  We already have commitments from over 20 celebrities, making this years field very exciting for all the teams.

On top of that, this week brought out two new sponsors.  Barker Steel, a long time contributor to the tournament has stepped up to become the Official Tournament Sponsor of the 2012 Caron-Wood Charity Golf Classic.  Metropac, a new sponsor last year, and long time friends of the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp has also stepped up to become the Official Gala Sponsor of the 2012 Caron-Wood Charity Golf Classic.  How exciting is that, in one week we landed two official sponsors

Please join us in welcoming our sponsors…..

Our 2012 Sponsorships have been posted

Every year we try and make our event bigger and better.  This year we have added some more “techno” features to the website.  If you go to our Sponsor page you can download all the forms and pages of our brochure. On each side of the page there is a Paypal “Buy Now” button.  Above the button is a drop down menu that will let you choose your sponsorship level and the pay electronically through Paypal.  Of course you can still pay the old fashioned way using snail mail and a check.

So please check around the website site, check out the brochure and get ready for the premiere golf tournament on Cape Cod.

2012 Caron-Wood Gala and Charity Golf Classic

Clear your calendars and mark the dates…..

June 24th and 25th, 2012

The 5th Annual Caron-Wood Charity Golf Classic will be held at The Golf Club of Cape Cod in Falmouth, Massachusetts.  And for the 2nd year in a row we will hold the Caron-Wood Gala event the night beofre the tournament.  This year the venue for the gala will be the beautiful Seacrest Beach Hotel also in Falmouth, Massachusetts.

Sponsorhsips opportunities are available and registration information for players will soon be available.

Tournament pricing has been arranged at the Seacrest Beach Hotel.

So stay tuned and get ready for what promises to be one of the best charity golfing opportunities this year.

But wait, it is only September…….

While it may seem early, we are gearing up for 2012.   The reality is that we really never stopped.  Even as we were setting
up for this years event, we were developing ideas and securing a venue for next year.

This Saturday we wil hold a brain storming/planning session.  Most likely the last Committee meeting before the end of 2011, we will use this opportunity to get everyone together and lay the groundwork for what promises to be an event to top all events.

As we continue to grow, we are always looking for new friends to join us and help raise monies for our charities.

We were fortunate this year to raise over $116,000.   We donated to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, The Jimmy Fund,
The Bruins Foundation and Junior Golf.  Holding true to our original mission, we were able to award three scholarships
this year, as well as sponsor several local events and our First Annual Caron Wood Junior Golf Classic.

If you enjoyed our event at Ocean Edge in 2011, know that our plan is to continue to make things better.  Our change of
venue has nothing to do with Ocena Edge, but a desire of our founders to keep the tournament fresh.

If you are interested in helping out, you can contact us by email at marcyleblanc@comcast.net.

We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Caron Wood Junior Golf Classic Tournament of Champions

On August 15th, 2011 the Caron Wood Foundation will sponsor The Tournament of Champions at The Golf Club of Cape Cod, located at 132 Falmouth Woods Rd in East Falmouth, Massachusetts.  The Tournament will feature 40 individual event winners from all of the age groups from the Cape Cod Junior Golf Association summer golf program.

Each player in the tournament was invited to play because they won one of the 12 events for their age category.  The Tournament will include lunch for all the players at 12:30 with a tee time of 1:30 for the event.  Prizes will be awarded for the winner of each age and gender category.

Assisting with the Tournament are Cape Cod Junior Golf Asscoiation Directors John and Peg Flynn.  Mr. and Mrs. Flynn are well known for their dedication to Junior Golf.  They are at each of the twelve events run throughout each summer and they take pleasure in teaching Juniors the game of golf while instilling the foundation of etiquette and decorum in each Junior Golfer.
